TimeLens (hereinafter referred to as "the App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information. Unlike most apps, TimeLens is designed with a "Privacy by Design" approach, meaning we aim to collect as little information as possible.

1. Information Collection and Use

TimeLens DOES NOT collect, transmit, or store any of your personal data on external servers.

To provide its core functions, the App requires access to the following system information:

• Usage Statistics (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS): Used to calculate the duration and frequency of app usage.

• Notification Access: Used to count the number of notifications received from different apps.

• Device Status (Screen On/Off): Used to track phone unlock frequency and total screen time.

All this data is processed and stored strictly on your local device. We do not have access to this data, nor do we sell or share it with any third parties.

2. Local Storage

All tracked data is stored in a local database on your smartphone. This data is used only to display statistics to you within the App. You can clear this data at any time by:

• Using the "Clear Records" function within the App.

• Clearing the App's cache/data in your Android System Settings.

• Uninstalling the App (which automatically removes all stored data).

3. Permissions

The App requests specific permissions to function:

• Usage Access: To monitor which apps are being used and for how long.

• Notification Listener: To detect and count incoming notifications.

• Foreground Service: To ensure the monitor continues to work accurately in the background.

These permissions are used solely for the App’s functionality and are never used to spy on your private content or messages.

4. Third-Party Services

TimeLens does not integrate with any third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics or Firebase) or advertising SDKs that track user behavior.

5. Data Security

Since your data never leaves your device, its security is tied to the security of your smartphone. We recommend using system-level encryption and screen locks to protect your device.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since the App does not collect user contact information, we recommend checking the Privacy Policy link on the Google Play Store periodically for updates.
